Teat Spray System

WHY RISK IT ALL?

Mastitis affects Dairy Cows milk production. Cows produce less, vet costs increase and in extreme cases cows die!

INCREASE PRODUCTION

Tests have shown that teat spraying dairy cows at milking reduces mastitis and increases milk production.

The NUMEDIC Teat Spraying System is a simple and cost effective way of teat spraying dairy cows.  Powered by an air compressor there are no moving parts, seals or “O” rings that come in contact with the teat spray.  It is a very reliable and efficient manual form of teat spraying dairy cows.

INTRODUCTION

The teat spraying of dairy cows has proven to be a very effective way of reducing mastitis. Mastitis is an inflammation of the udder generally caused by the entry of a coliform infection which can severely reduce milk production and in extreme cases the animal may die.

Results have shown that regular teat spraying post milking can prevent up to 50% of coliforms from entering the udder especially during the period after calving.

Teat sprays contain a sanitiser to kill bacteria on the skin and just inside the teat orifice and help to prevent any bacteria or coliforms from entering the udder.

The NUMEDIC manual teat spray system is a very cost effective way of teat spraying dairy cows and is extremely reliable.  There are no impellers or in fact any moving parts that come in contact with the teat spray.  Because of this it is ideal to use with the iodine or chlorine based teat sprays that are slightly corrosive and difficult to use in other teat Spraying systems.
